Summer? Loved it! Hot and humid but manageable.
If it makes you feel any better, a lot of native Savannians were also very disappointed about this winter. I don't mind cold, if it would just stay that way and get it over with. It was the on and off again warm and cold spells that drove me crazy.

It's April, and it's still not a typical Spring.

You're so right. It's hard to re-acclimate to cold once the weather has warmed up. And it seems we've gone through this a couple or three times this spring. Now summer weather is here. Not good.

So, are you saying that Savannah's "hot and huumid" doesn't compare to South Florida's "hot and humid"? I currently live in South Florida and am exploring relocation spots. My husband is a wimp with cold weather, he grew up in Puerto Rico. I am limited to presenting him with cities that would be similar to the weather we are currently use to in South Florida as well as we MUST be near the water because of his line of work. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Default Savannah here we come

Winters in Savannah are nothing compared to the North obviously. I think I could definitely handle a winter in Savannah from reading what everyone has posted so far. I have lived in Michigan my entire 38 years and I can no longer handle Michigan winters. They have definitely gotten worse over the years. I need sunshine more than 3 months out of the year and it doesn't happen here in Michigan.

What are the hospital options in Savannah or close to that have surgery departments? I am a CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) and I have been considering a move to Georgia since I was there in March/April. I absolutely fell in love with Savannah. My father and two siblings live in Statesboro so living in between the two would be ideal. I currently make about $33,000 a year in Michigan in my career. Does anyone know what a CST would make in Savannah? I would be moving with my husband who is an EMT, however he needs to update his license. Would he have any problem finding a job in Savannah? Any help in answering these questions is much appreciated.
