Hi locals!

My wife and I are going to be in the SAV area for about a week (renting a house on Tybee) and wondered if any of you could offer from experience your opinion of the tours offered by Sea Kayak Georgia? We've heard of people seeing dolphins up close when on the tours, and we'd REALLY like that experience, along with getting to kayak out to Little Tybee and seeing what all wildlife we'd get there. Thanks for the help in advance, and best of all to y'all.

Cheers!

I'm not certain, but I believe the place you are talking about is actually located on Wilmington Island at the Bull River bridge. Not a far drive, but about 10 minutes away from Tybee.

Thanks, but nope. Sea Kayak Georgia is located on Tybee. I think we're going to give it a shot! Thank you for responding, anyway!

I haven't used but have heard great things about the trips from Sea Kayak Georgia. They put you right on the water for their trips but since they are not right on the water you have to tote the kayak if you do a day rental.

We have used North Island Surf and Kayak. They're right on the dock at Lazaretto Creek and a great location for a day rental, especially to check out Cockspur lighthouse.

Either way, you can't go wrong. We love being out on the water and it is well worth your time. Also, if you haven't found a rental house yet, there are several on Tybee that have kayaks at the rental home for you to use.

We've never kayaked before (canoe, yes) so, we're going with the guided tour so as not to be washed out to sea! Really hoping to see some dolphins and other critters. We have a rental house right on the tidal creek with a dock and all, but I'm not sure if they provide a kayak or not. Either way, we're looking forward to being back there! "See you" in about a week!

I was on the beach last Saturday. It was my first visit. I didn't see anyone kayak but surf.
