I live in Savannah and have a friend coming from Florida who wants to see some nice mountains. I am from Florida too so I don't know much about anything up here.

I have been to Amicilola (spelling?) Falls in Dawsonville but I was thinking maybe there is something closer, like in SC or something. Amicilola is about 5 or 6 hours away.

If there is any other things around here (other than the obvious beaches and stuff)- like waterfalls or mountains please tell me

Thanks,

Miranda

Are you serious? I hope this is a joke... but just in case....
There's not a hill within 100 miles of Savannah. The closest you'll find is North Georgia or Upstate South Carolina.

You are looking in completely wrong place. Savannah and the area around it is extremely FLAT. You are SOL if you want to stay "close" to the area for mountains.
