Hi all-

My husband and I are coming to town in a few weeks to check out Savannah for a possible relocation. While we are there we are going to try to visit a couple of churches to see if we find one that seems like a good fit, as this will weigh heavily into where we decide to move.

We are in a lower thirties with 3 young kids. We are looking for a great church full of people that really want to be there rather than are just filling seats. (Does that make sense?)

If you really love your church or know of one that others seem to really love, please share!

thanks so much-

Emily

Do you have a certain denomination that you prefer?

Just about every denomination here will have at least one church that excels in youth and family programs.

Also, do you want a large or small congregation?

We love our church, Community Bible Church of Savannah. You can check out the website at Community Bible Church - Savannah / Home

CBC is nondenominational, evangelical, and as the name implies, focused on teaching the Bible and building community. It certainly is a place where people do more than warm seats. You can listen to sermons online as well to get a feel.

We love our church but there are of course other good Bible believing churches in Savannah.

Thanks for your responses! We are not looking for a particular size or denomination. Any positive reviews help- thanks!

Wait until you find a place to live. Your children may enjoy going to the same church as their playmates in the neighborhood.

We attend Hope Baptist Church, which is located on White Bluff Rd. It's a great church full of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Come visit with us when you're in town.
