If you could tell us what you are looking for in all these different places that you ask about, we might be able to help you.

It's very difficult to compare towns unless you have a clue as to what the writer is looking for.

For example: Shopping. Do you mean for high fashion clothing, groceries, Good Will Stores, Home Depot, etc.?
Play? For children, elderly, teens, sports, bar hopping type "play"?

Two very different places. Richmond Hill is a close-in suburb to Savannah with lots of pricey waterfront real estate. Statesboro is a good 45 minutes to an hour drive away, depending on several factors, and a college town surrounded by miles and miles of cotton fields.

Padgett said it best: What are you looking for?

I know I'm "feeding the troll" by commenting, but for those that are truly interested, I would choose Statesboro over Richmond Hill.

Although these two communities are like comparing apples to oranges, I would choose Statesboro because of it's beautiful downtown and historic homes near the core.

Really, this isn't a fair comparison for quite a few reasons...

Better/fairer comparisons would be comparing Statesboro with Dublin or Richmond Hill with Rincon.

Yes, Ricon and Richmond Hill is a better comparison, and Richmond Hill would win.

Interesting. Why RH over Rincon?

Better commute, better housing (lots of very nice waterfront neighborhoods), better access to both I-95 and Ga 204/Abercorn Expressway and all that Savannah has to offer.

Richmond Hill is very upscale; Rincon a bit too rural for me. Schools are probably a toss up, but RHHS is excellent and might hold the edge.

Very good points. I can't disagree with you on any of them.

Perhaps when the Effingham Parkway is constructed it'll make a difference in it's more rural feel. Also interesting to note that Effingham has double Bryan's population. Effingham also has much more land area than Bryan so more room to grow.
There is an industrial park out there (not sure if it is in existence yet or if it is all prospective) that when developed is suppose to support research and technical development. I forget the name of it, but it is located in Central Effingham between Guyton and Springfield. (Man, I sure did divert off the OP. LOL)
