I think we were discussing whether styrofoam and plastic were appropriate for a meal that costs $30., and we vote no. It has it's place at a picnic.

Dining profile in Sunday's SMN was of Butterhead Greens on Bull Street, across from SCAD's Arnold Hall. I've heard good things about it but every time I've driven by there it's always looked overflowing with art kids or closed. Has anybody tried it?

Interesting aside: The owners also own Betty Bombers (who I thought was a real person .. oh well). I understand that Betty's is now open weekdays and for lunch (as opposed to just late night weekends) which makes it much more accessible. If you've never been, GO! Great food, neat concept, such a cool location!

I got several carry out lunches from Butterhead Greens, when I worked downtown (they deliver), but have not actually gone there. I usually had the I Surrender Salad or the Thai Salad. Very fresh and good.

It looks like it. Don't know much, but according to their Facebook page they're still hopping.

But you don't have to worry if the dishwasher did a good job washing the plates and glasses.

I don't worry my pretty little head about that.

Zunzi's 2.0 opened last night in the former Churchill's spot at the corner of Drayton and Bay Lane. I didn't go in but spent some time talking to the door staff. Yes, the door staff.

This place is so opposite of what the original Zunzi's is, it scares me. As I mentioned before, there's a long history of very good restaurants in this town getting big $$ in their eyes, expanding foolishly and destroying the brand. I hope not for Zunzi's sake, but have a bad feeling.

I wonder if those who are accustomed to going to Zunzis will change their habits? The routine is, stand in the line, chit chat with others in line, get a plate of takeout, go home and eat it. It seems to me that the Zunzi's experience is lost in a sit down restaurant.

Default Tequila's Town

As I write this, I'm sitting alone at the new Tequila's Town on Whitaker Street where Barne's Express used to be. I was walking back to my car, stopped to read the menu and thought "why not?"

THIS PLACE IS EXCELLENT! It's "upscale" Mexican, and a bit pricier than what Savannah's probably used to, but oh so we'll worth it! I had fresh guacamole prepared table-side and a chicken chili relleno. Outstanding! Portions are filling without being ridiculously huge. I left very satisfied and will DEFINITELY be back with friends!

Highly recommended!
