Yeah, Bona Bella yacht club.

I just heard a rumor that the chef from Leoci's is now in charge of their menu. A few years back, the food was barely edible, but it was a good place to drink after a day out on the water. Recently, they've been gradually improving the food. I'm very interested to find out what they're serving now.

It is a cool place to be sure.

It's not in my top ten by any means, but our guests wanted to bring their dog, so it fit the bill.

Today I had the best soup I ever had from the Kayak Cafe on Broughton. This is the second time I have gotten totally original, amazing soup there. Awhile back I got Pickle Soup, and today I got a soup which was Black Bean, spicy, with pumpkin and a bit of cinnamon. I don't even know the name of it, but the place has awesome soup.
I'm not usually a big soup person, but I am now.

I can't remember who told me, so take it with a grain of salt.

On your recommendation, I just went to Kayak Cafe and OMG that soup was amazing! I also had a cilantro lime chicken burrito -- fantastic! I could eat everything on that menu! Truly one of Savannah's best.

FYI -- They have turkey chili and tomatoe bisque all the time; the third soup changes out weekly depending on what the chef cooks up and is never the same. I asked about the pickle soup and she said there's no telling when -- if ever -- they'll have it again. That keeps 'em coming back I guess!

Went to the Distillery and had awesome crab cakes with sweet potato fries. DH had the fish and chips and everything was very good. We aren't beer drinkers, but for those who are, they have dozens of craft beers.

Haven't been there yet, but new THE PUBLIC on the corner of Bull and Liberty (underneath the Knights of Columbus / St. Pats Committee HQ) looks absolutely amazing!

Also, though not exactly a restaurant, Byrd Cookie Company opened a retail location in City Market today. I'd say that decision was a no-brainer and long overdue!
