I don't know of anyone who has shopped in the Gateway outlet mall in a decade. At least that area is in a prime location for redevelopment.

I've heard that the Savannah Mall is under new management or ownership and that there are new tenants coming. It certainly looks better than it did a year or so ago.

If Pooler can't manage the traffic at Pooler Pkwy & walmart, what makes anyone think they can for this new development? This will be a traffic clusterf*%$!

I go there from time to time. Van Heusen, Bealls Outlet & the shoe stores have excellent prices.

That's precisely where this mall is going to be.

I don't think those are the kinds of stores we are going to see in Pooler. More like Saks, Anne Taylor, Loius Vuiton, Cole Hann, Lennox, etc.

Simon Properties manages the local mall here (Treasure Coast Square) and it's very clean, well-maintained.

Savannah Festival (I-95&204) sits on prime real estate, but it has never really lived up to its potential. I agree SF would probably lose some tenants to this new place in Pooler, but I think that land would be best suited to hotels rather than outlet stores, anyway.

Maybe they can raze SF and claim they're going to build another water park. How many is that, now? Three, four?

At one time a second Super Walmart was announced for the I-16 end of Pooler Parkway, next to Lowe's. Whether that happens remains to be seen. I'd much rather see them proceed with the outdoor lifestyle / power center on the other side of I-16 at Savannah Quarters, which was supposed to have Target, Kohl's, Belk, theaters and other stores. That might indeed be too much for the market to handle with this new announced project. But in any case, Pooler is ready for Target and that area of Pooler would be a good place for it.
