I'll admit to thinking to myself on many occasions that the streets of Savannah's Historic District bear a striking resemblance to Brooklyn, particularly the residential blocks with rows and rows of Brooklyn-style brownstones. But I wouldn't have dared ever suggest Savannah exudes a "Brooklyn mentality" until I read this entry from a gay travel blog, of all places (courtesy Ruhl Joyner of 24e):
