I think you can ask them to waive the filing fee if you can show you cant really afford it. Most courts have a form for that but only tell people about it if they ask. Why did you stay there such a short time. Do u have any suggestions for someone just starting to look since you have been through it?
I only was there for a short time cause of some job issues and decided to move in with my aunt.

If I were you I would do a background check and make sure you have a good lease and keep your reciepts.

Also before I sent the letter to her she was suppose to return my security deposit before the 11th which is what she said she would do then later that day which she was upset with me because I asked her about my deposit she texted me that she was changing the locks and dont come on her property. (Still have the text)

Wouldnt that count as her attempt to evict me without filing a dispossessory warrant?

First off...I'm not a lawyer. Second, I don't know if you want out or in? (ie" evicting you"). Third, where did "two week notice" enter the picture? Fourth, did you follow my advise and go get free legal advice at 133 Montgomery Street?

Thanks just wanted your opinion since you seem to know a good bit...I only mentioned the second part about her trying to evict me and my two week notice just to add more detail to get more advice wasnt sure if that made a difference.

Lastly I did go check out the legal advice but that was after I made the post you quoted.

Well this thread is dead thanks for the advice, if it bothered you responding to my questions feel free to ignore them...

thanks good day.
