I am preparing to travel back to Savannah on Wed of this week. I received a message from a friend that said "Bring your snow boots and ski pants". LOL.

Really? Well, I'm going out to buy yellow golf balls so I can find them in the snow.

Last I heard there was a 30% chance of a dusting of snow. I'm thinking you might need the long pants instead of the knickers.

Everyone is so excited. I'm hoping for two days off from work.

We were just talking about the Last Great Snow. If there was any advance notice, we missed it. I woke up about 2:00am and noticed the strange white light coming in the windows. I looked, and then had to wake everyone up. By3:00am, every house in the neighborhood was full of kids and grown-ups playing.

We had a fat little dachshund. It was fun to watch her try to follow the kids, while she tiptoed, trying to hold her back up and keep that tummy from dragging in the snow.

And some newcomers to Savannah just had to mention in the paper... that Savannah was sooooo backward because we didn't have any snow plows.

A "dusting" of snow will get you about 1/2 hour off in most parts of the country that get snow. LOL

We could use the snowplows to clear the drunks off the curbs at around midnight, March 18 every year.

OMG, we are watching the local weather right now. We are laughing our heads off. Today, we had the patio door open all day. Oh goody, tomorrow I might wear my UGGs for the second time since I've lived here (4 years).
DH did buy, and install, covers for our outdoor water faucets. They were on sale for a dollar at HD. Fear not, by the next day, we'll be sweating.
People, please, folks have 3 feet of snow all winter and function just fine.

It's a special occasion when Savannah gets snow because it so rarely happens.
I doubt the snow shovel will be needed, but I would go out and buy some ice melt.
Wish I could be in my hometown for this one. Savannah in snow is so pretty!

Is is Freezing rain- Bring your Skates

Additionally, there will be no school for students and staff on January 29th. All schools and administrative offices in Savannah-Chatham County will be closed in anticipation of the hazardous weather conditions on Wednesday, January 29, 2014.
All after school programs remain cancelled for Tuesday, January 28, and will also be cancelled on Wednesday, January 29, 2014.
The school district continues to monitor the weather situation very closely. Updates will be provided should additional disruptions to the operational schedule occur. Freezing rain

For those living west of I-95: Ice on the trees could be over a half inch thick come Wednesday morning. Widespread power outages expected.
