All they want to do is take away the "Atlantic" part of the name. It was originally just Armstrong anyway. I thought Atlantic was kind of pointless.

I say good riddance.

I always assumed they only added in the "Atlantic" part to play up the coastal orientation of the university, to give it a persona it had never really pursued. The extra A also made it easier to differentiate between the other ASU's, but then, they did not change Georgia Southern University to differentiate it from "the other GSU". I always thought "The University of South Georgia" had a nicer ring to it anyway.
