Thanks Newsboy, but I was looking for an indoor court as the rules for outdoor and indoor racquetball are different. I found a racquetball court at the Savannah JEA, and I called in and they said I don't need to be Jewish to use the facilities there at JEA. Does anyone have an idea of how the membership works at JEA? Is it just like a YMCA, if so, what are the fees?

I am sure that the JEA would be glad to answer your questions about membership and fees. Ask them.

I think it's close to 55 a month last I remember.

And yes the JEA is the same thing as YMCA, just under the Jewish umbrella and branding.

I've seen plenty of non-jews in there before. There are spare yamaka's in every part of the facility I think.

Was a bit strange when I first walked in there, but everyone was normal, and it looked and felt just like a YMCA.

I would suppose you would not need to wear a yarmulke to play racket ball. THAT might not appear "normal". Right??

I have no idea what the customs are. I'm not jewish, I just found it interesting that every room I went into (yoga, basketball court, racketball/squash, gym, etc.) had a box full of them.

It's not necessary to wear a yamakah. You'll be fine in your goyish getup. There is only really ever a requirement if you are inside an actual Jewish sanctuary.
