I have lived in the NoVA area for 12 years and am ready to leave. I need a big change. I love the beach, so the coast would be ideal. My field of work is education research/evaluation. Cost of living is a huge factor (as is, of course, being able to find a decent job) and decent weather most of the year is desirable. NoVA is pretty expensive to live here so anything cheaper would be a plus. I'm interested in NC, GA, SC, FL, and maybe CA. This is my first time posting so I'm not sure what questions to ask here or how much info to provide. Also, if there's another thread or forum I should refer to, please point me in that direction! Thanks in advance for the feedback!
