Okay, I'm moving to Savannah soon and have posted once about the neighborhood I've leased with. So now that the safety issue has been addressed, onto the next most important order of business: bowling.

What I really want to know is, which one is the biggest? Or is there even more than one? I take my bowling seriously- my old alley in the midwest had a killer snack bar, an arcade, bar with karaoke and pool, 45 lanes.. I made many friends there and every Thursday was BOWLING night. I miss those days.. I've been living in LA and needless to say, nobody here wants to roll a bowling ball and eat greasy pizzas with beers. Please help this homesick bowler.

There is a 50-lane AMF Bowling Center on Tibet Avenue off Abercorn in Southside Savannah. I haven't been there in a awhile but it's supposed to have an awesome bar and restaurant. Out in Pooler, there's a family entertainment center called Frames and Games that has 28 lanes, laser tag, arcade, etc.

Savannah's first (and longtime only) bowling alley on Victory Drive closed in 2012 and was demolished last year to make way for a CVS. Just as well: It was built sometime in the 1950s and was a dump. One of the lanes was salvaged and used to build the bar at Treylor Park downtown.

There's used to bowling alley on base at Hunter Army Airfield but it's closed now as well.

Yeah I remember reading about the demolition of the Victory alley, that makes me sad. But if it was a dive then I suppose it was no big loss. I was under the impression that the AMF was closed permanently too, I want to say Google maps told me so. Hopefully I'm remembering incorrectly.

AMF Victory Lanes is closed. AMF on Tibet is very much alive and kicking. And it's HUGE!
