I'm fine with that. Separate project. natural gas burns cleaner. People in the midwest may have earthquakes and flammable tap water but they voted for it so deal with it. So long as downtown isn't leveled if Elba goes boom we're all right. I imagine it's probably fine and that's why they store out so far out on the river of course.

Alabama, Georgia declare state of emergency after pipeline spill | AL.com

Alabama, Tennessee, & Georgia Declare States Of Emergency after pipeline spill.

This will happen, just a matter of when, if Kinder Morgan gets its way in coastal Georgia. Just like a hurricane here, it will happen, it's a certainty.

Remember EnronKinderMorgan only have a 1 year temporary ban. We need to gear up again soon to fight this battle and WIN once and for all. We have colonial pipeline, no this KinderEnronMorgan gas won't be used it it's being exported, and no it won't affect ANY gas price or make anything safer (truck spills are short haul from terminus to gas stations while being delivered) and yes KinderEnronMorgan has the worst safety record among pipeline companies. This must remain on our minds. It is something that is very important, even as many other things are as well.

It's important to note today that gas prices have spiked along the affected pipeline distribution area. This runs counter to the argument that Kinder Morgan has always espoused that pipelines bring lower market volatility. If anything, they enhance a region's susceptibility, certainly environmentally speaking, but also, economically. I remain unimpressed with Kinder Morgan's arguments and their track record.
