Heres a few to recommend: Inn at Elllis Square, Bohemian Hotel Riverfront, Planters Inn, Westin (across the river), Desoto Hilton, ...I have stayed at quite a few of these. Family and friends havew stayed at others. the Bohemian is the newest I think and I was told it is fabulous! Good luck, hope this helps. By the way, try Mrs. Wilkes boarding house, she has a restaurant that's pretty awesome too! There are PLENTY of hotels in Savannah, I used to live there, I know. Be careful, looks and price can be deceitful.

that resturant sucks, paula dean is a sham with her phony accent. Savannah has so many great resturants, I would definately not want to miss the opportunity to eat at one of them because i stood in line to eat canned green beans at a fancy "boston market".

I couldn't agree more. Actually, Boston Market is better than Paula Deen's.

Now, all that said, let's put this post to rest.

We will be in Savannah for a couple of days next weekend. We are wondering how early you need to get in line to put your name on the list for dinner. I believe I saw they start taking names around 2. I didn't know if you had to be there even earlier to get a decent time. Any advice (besides somewhere else to eat) would be appreciated.
