I don't have anything. My son and DIL were in town this weekend from NC, and even they realized that their friends had moved on to different stages....away from Hunter AA, having babies, etc. Their favorite restaurant, Alligator Soul, is still closed from flooding.

They passed a disappointed family who expected fireworks on Saturday night. Sigh.

We still appreciate being close to the beach, we love the weather, except for now, but we would prefer a dog friendly beach with free parking. I am just needing a boost in enthusiasm right now.

Thanks, News. Metro Diner sounds interesting. The Mall still needs a fancier restaurant for the wine and salads bunch.

Out in the Southside Misson Essentials and the 2 Women & A Warehouse next door are getting the boot and a call center is going in. Tony Thomas had that little blurb on his facebook page. Everything else is staying.

The south side has a major lack of commercial real estate space currently. The Y was booted out from Memorial this year due to their expansion and cannot find an adequate space for a new southside location.

Sounds like Savannah is bursting at the seems.

Really? I thought they were giving space away just to get more foot traffic in there.

News,

Yea I think they are giving away space at the Savannah Mall. I don't think the mall would want Mission Essentials over there. I would love to see the pool hall that was in the same complex find it's way over to the mall after they were also booted, it was the only place close to me to play a game of pool.

It seems like every day, there's an article on the "scheme du jour". Today its the Fairgrounds property and the flyover dilemma. I'm feeling as if they can just get back to me when something is DONE, but until then I'm not wasting any emotion on it.

Juicy? Girl Scouts mugged on Forsyth, local paper and WSAV even report it. ( Barton wrote a bit about it a later) I guess because it's just another day in little ol' Savannah.
