A Savannah television anchor was killed in a car crash early Sunday morning.

Don Logana, morning anchor for WTOC was killed, WJCL confirmed.

The crash happened about 4 a.m. on the South Carolina side of the Talmadge Bridge, after a blue pick-up truck and a red four-door vehicle were involved in a head-on crash, the Savannah Morning News reported.

The road was closed at 9:30 a.m. as the South Carolina Highway Patrol Major Accident Investigation Team investigated. Drivers are still able to access Hutchinson Island from the Georgia side.
“We lost one of our very own, Don Logana,” the station posted. “Please keep us and the Logana family in your thoughts and prayers as we try to grasp this devastating news.”

So sad.

He was arguably the best reporter in the area. I always looked to his Facebook page for news you wouldn't see reported on tv and such.
