I'm freaked out by them, but I'm trying to do better. I know they are harmless.
We get bimonthly spray outside for them, but the bug killer takes awhile to work, so they can still come into the house after they have been exposed.

Today, I was sorting a bunch of folded laundry on my bed, and a huge one crawled on my hand and then tried to disappear under the bed. I go bat**** crazy with the bug spray and the fly swatter. The,now still, offender was captured under Tupperware until the man of the house (thankfully I have one) could dispatch him to the porcelain forever.

I think that after 3 years of extermination, it has gotten a lot better, but I want them GONE.

Get some Harris famous Roach Tablets and place them around inside house and it will take care of those you don't see.

Definitely don't like them either. Saw probably 3-4 dead in this one property while house hunting around Savannah a few weeks ago.

I did just this, worked nicely. I think, not sure but I think that is safer than spraying (???) stuff. I put the tablets in corners and behind doors, so not even noticeable. Also there are those "hotel" things that are sticky on the inside and attract the bugs, then they get stuck in there and is nontoxic too. Yep.. they're a fact of life down here!

If I don't know where they come in, how do I know where to put the traps?
The spray the exterminator uses is supposedly environmentally safe. It's a plant based spray which is made from chrysanthemums.
