I am simply amazed about how many ladies (in groups) travel up to NYC for the weekend on JetBlue. A couple of years ago I thought it was just Holiday shopping but I now see with these low fares it's like a trip to the mall. In fact, they dress like they are going to the mall. This morning's flight group of six, all in white shorts and flip flops, (yesterday a day at the salon) ready to P A R T E E!! in NYC. And, I suppose spend a bunch of bux in the big apple. God bless America!

Just an observation...nothing more.

We are very fortunate to have all these cheap nonstop flights between Savannah and the NE markets. And of course, it works in reverse! The very notion that Manhattanites, Boston snobs and D.C. elite fly down here on the weekends to party and get drunk is quite hilarious and very welcome!

"What happens in Savannah stays in Savannah!"

Trust me, the Yankees are likely more grateful for JetBlue than Savannahians are.
Savannah is a breath of fresh air for them.

Hmmmm, I think that air blows two ways. Like Flt 841 south and Flt 842 North. lol

JetBlue (B6) #842

You see that "green" line on the flight plan, that's southern money going North.

It is really amazing how cheap JetBlue for us.

I've used it for New York twice and Boston once. Hope one of these years we can go Savannah to San Fran or San Diego so I don't have to drive up to Atlanta.

I had brunch with a friend at Metro Diner in Pooler on Friday. In the hour or so we were there, the planes coming in for a landing at SAV were one on top of the other. I swear, it was nonstop! I thought we were in Atlanta! The weekend tourist traffic into SAV is simply amazing!

I must also laud JetBlue's arrival in the Savannah market. When I think how much $$ it would have saved me on travel to Sav'h for weddings, funerals, graduations, family reunions etc. over the years (being a native Southerner means family obligations you'll never get out of), I start sweating. At least it's helped me for a couple of years now.

I saw 3 or 4 Allegiant flights come in back-to-back on Friday. You can't miss them, their planes are quite colorful.
