" The thing that makes it really stand out is how historically intact the whole neighborhood is," said Jennifer Sommerville, a historic preservation major at SCAD.

Community members are working on making Ardmore a nationally registered historic district.

The findings from a research project that SCAD students recently finished are helping the neighborhood take a step towards that.

"Thirty-five out of the 36 structures that I surveyed were contributing structures. They were the original houses that were built between 1920 and 1958-and that's pretty rare," said Sommerville.

Me neither, I had to use google maps to find this neighborhood. Apparently, its south of the Chatham Crescent neighborhood and is bounded by E 53rd to the north, E 61st to the south, Bull Street to the west and Waters Ave to the east.

Probably a bunch of average old ranch style homes found everywhere. Yawn.

Most of the houses are depression era, so they would not be ranches. Ranches didn't become common until after the second world war.

This neighborhood is generally lumped into Ardsley Park nomenclature, which is why you haven't heard of it. It blends the actual limits of Chatham Crescent into Midtown.

Would this include Habersham Village?
