Yep, Pooler Parkway was a dirt road and there were concrete barriers at the top of the exit ramp. Don’t think anybody in their wildest dreams could’ve imagined what would be there today.

It’s funny because I’ve known longtime Savannahians who’ll say they remember when everything south of Derenne was dirt and pine trees and I shake my head in disbelief, but now I’m old enough to recall the same thing in Pooler.

Traveling through Green Bay several years ago, the terminal there reminded me of Savannah's old one. Nostalgia... and not the good kind. The new one is much better in every conceivable way. I do see it being a bit limited in terms of future expansion, but that's a problem for another decade.

Green Bay now has a nice newer terminal as well. (Go Packers!)

For now, I think Savannah has adequate gate space, but let's see who else they bring to the airport. I'm excited at the progress. It stays busy nowadays.

Flights to Denver on United, Seattle in Alaska, and Los Angeles on Delta would be great. Also, Southwest to MCO, DEN, and DAL would be good. Just don’t know the demand.
