How is Morrell pronounced in Savannah? There's a Morrell Park neighborhood in Baltimore, which is pronounced with the accent on the first syllable, like "moral".

That property was owned by the Morel family. One of my relatives lists it as her birthplace on her Freedman's Bank account in 1873. She was born in 1818, she list's John Morel as the land owner. John Morel is listed as her brother and John Morel is my grand father. (n0, they're not the same johns, but related) The Morel's were ship builders in NY, a few were ship captains. The lumber from their island was shipped to NY shipbuilders. They were Jewish Portuguese Frenchmen and well connected to financing on both sides of the Atlantic. What's written about the family glosses over their involvement in the slave trade. Once the dots are connected, it appears they were in deep.

Isn't this the same family that owned Middle Place Plantation on Ossabaw Island?

My grandfather was William G. Morrell, Jr. The park is named for him (not his father). He was head of the Park and Tree Commission in Savannah for close to 20 years. He accomplished a great deal, including widening the sidewalk at Forsyth Park. He was honored with the naming of Morrell Park for him, as it was a park he had created in the mid-1960s. The park was named for him in 1974.

William G. Morrell, who Morrell Park is named for, pronounced his name with the accent on the first syllable, as the word moral (of the story). The pronunciation you talk about is correct for the Morel family. Not the same family.
