I wonder what will happen to the building
Quote:
Third-year student Erica Drew said Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School Dean Malcolm Morris and Treasurer for the school’s Board of Directors Michael Markovitz announced at town hall meeting on Wednesday that the Savannah Law School building on Drayton Street had been sold.

Current students were told that they would be relocated until graduation, per requirement by the American Bar Association. Students were not told where they would be relocated, Drew said.

Calls to Morris, Markovitz, and Savannah Law School Professor Marc Roark were not immediately returned.

I heard that they are looking at converting it to apartments or condos.

Is the building being sold and John Marshall Law School relocating, or is John Marshall Law School ceasing being an institution to graduating Juris Doctor degree candidates?

Actually both. They sold the building and are closing the Savannah campus.

I could see the closing of the Savannah Campus as too many law schools to go around.

The Savannah Law School board of directors says they are willing to donate the school to another educational institution.

The move would include mostly everything except for the building.

Most likely, the law school will go to a local university. No specific university was named, but Georgia Southern and Savannah State are the most likely candidates.

So what is the story behind this law school? Who are these people? Where did they come from? And where did they get the millions of dollars it took to purchase and restore the old Candler Hospital campus? Seems like I heard they were affiliated with John Marshall Law School in Atlanta or something like that?

Maybe Paula Wallace will cough take their offer and open a SCAD School of Law?
