Statesboro can’t be that bad. The town and Bulloch county have seen steady, healthy growth for quite a while now.

Housing is also plentiful here thanks to the student population. You have areas near and far from campus. Is the OP looking to rent or buy?
So really how big is the downtown? I've been there over a 100 times... Are there more than a dozen places to eat in the downtown area? This means within walking distance of the huge courthouse which is the centerpiece of downtown.

Thank you. I just heard from a friend, and mind you in as much as I do reside in Georgia, we are still relatively new here. Nevertheless, I hear nats are an issue throughout the Summer and Fall? However, since it is warmer there than North Georgia, it could be mostly throughout the year?

Sometimes, the sand gnats are bothersome, but in 10 years I have really only noticed them a few times.

You location matters a lot, they live in a sandy soil environment, which means they are few & far between west of 95, I live on a bluff & there are nights where you cannot hold a conversation outside with your neighbors. If you stop to talk to someone they will eat you alive.
