Aside from brutal humidity and lack of breeze, things move waaaay slower here than in NYC or DC areas; lived in both and cannot wait to move back up north. Consider the job market as well.

It is true that the pace is slower. We call it Slowvannah. It’s not necessarily a bad thing though. I don’t miss the aggressive pace up north.

Funny though, in restaurants here, they seem to want to give you the bum’s rush, instead of a leisurely pace.

My biggest frustration is with how folks drive; sloooow to depart from a traffic light.

Not really, I give it 5 seconds before the honk, hehe.

Two seconds later I give you the one finger salute. Difference in NY you will get shot for that. Here they just say "Well bless your heart"

Eh, I am not talking about people taking their time here but rather those who are distracted and are holding up traffic for no reason. NYC driving is crazy, no argument there; lived there and in the DC area. If you are driving, one should be paying attention to what is going on around them, not just lolly gagging and only thinking about themselves.

Bottom line though, not to take this out of context, I am nice to and patient with most people, unless they go out of their way to be selfish. So let us not get into an argument over nothing.
