I understand a few townhouses are close to completion at the project Savannah River (name?). One very large town house is scheduled to close in Oct. I haven't had a chance to get over there and was wondering if anybody on board has had a closer look at this development?
I was told the prices start around $500,000 and go way north of that to about 2.5 mil.

Yes, the new owners changed the name to Eastern Wharf as a way to pay homage to the area's industrial past.

I wish we the people had a say in this. Alas, capitalism.

Well, from their web page" Upper east river is committed to producing the authentic, true Savannah architecture that defines the city". That is one heck of a "spin" they put on that baby! My head is spinning trying to see the relationship. LOL

We stopped by to check them out the other day. The ones that are being built now start at $599k. The larger townhomes will be in the $1.2M range. They also have some units near the river that are over $3M. They have deposits on a decent number of units already. Whether you think they are attractive or not IMHO it is a good sign that folks are willing to plunk down that kind of cash to live here.
