Hopefully, this will help with pedestrian safety...

Quote:
The city of Savannah has lowered the speed limit along the entirety of Drayton and Whitaker streets, including added signage and new “driver feedback” signs, effective today.

From Bay to Liberty streets on both Drayton and Whitaker, the speed limit is now 25 mph.

Between Liberty Street and Park Avenue, the speed limit has been lowered from 30 mph to 25 mph.

From Park Avenue to Victory Drive, the speed limit has been lowered from 35 mph to 30 mph.

Today, officials will officially flip the switch for four speed-detecting driver feedback signs on Whitaker and Drayton streets that will tell drivers their speed, as well as speed limit.

I don't have a problem with this. Whitaker and Drayton are both very congested.
