RN Nurse currently living in Fl but thinking of moving to GA. Actually visiting in 4 days time. Need help with suggestions of safe but reasonable towns where I can rent an apt. but hopefully not too far from hospitals/clinics or healthcare places that I can apply for work in advance of any move. Don't want to just be driving all over the place so want you kind people to give me areas that I can actually check out on my 3 day trip. Thanking you in advance.

Midtown Savannah is where the big hospitals are. Pooler is very safe and has a lot of medical offices, and plans for expanding the hospital here.

And medical pay, on whole, is low in Savannah. You're probably making more in FL.

Thank you for your responses. We did make the trip but it appears that Statesboro does not have a Hospital...I could be wrong or was it Pooler? Housing is not less than Fl just that you get a much bigger place plus land for the money. Looking at other options as we have till next year March to decide.

the only hospitals are in the middle of the city. St Joseph, Candler and Memorial. There is a small clinic in Pooler.

Statesboro's hospital is
East Georgia Regional . But, you can find out more reliable information about it on Google than you will on a user forum. Pooler does not have a hospital - they have a branch center (the Pooler Campus) for SJCHS, and one in the works for Memorial Health. Neither facility will be what you would consider a "hospital."
