Corelone's on the corner of Broughton and MLK is very good for the price Italian food.

A bit more fancy and pricey would be El Pasticio's on Broughton St.

Wild wings is great for a quick lunch

Vinnie's Pizza (cash only) great for a sit outside when the weather is good.

Pink House for that once or twice a year get away, quite pricey, but very good.

there are a few others.

Lots of beers. Open cups like NO. The only other place in the US (I think) that you can walk around the historic district with beer in a cup.

Yes. No glass, no bottles. But you can walk anywhere in the downtown historic area with beer or any drink you want in a cup 16 oz or less.

It could be straight grain alkyholl and they wouldn't care, although I would not recommend drinking 16 oz of grain in one sitting.

I think that is good advice Halothane. But not to worry I am a beer drinker.
