Has anyone been to Loco's Deli & Pub on West Broughton Street?

Yes. I've been there. Not my favorite place, but it's okay.

It's doubtful if you are going to find BAD food anywhere in the Historic District. Whether or not you like a place will depend on YOU, what you like to eat, whether you like the atmosphere, the service, and all that other stuff that appeals to one person but not another.

Good advice about a place to eat for lunch is simply to head to the nearest place to wherever you happen to be when you get hungry. Once you get here and see the layout of the Historic District, you will be more able to see why it doesn't always make good sense to plan on eating in certain places when you could easily be a mile away.

Thanks Padgett2, it won't matter to me where I eat, I just LOVE food.

No, the food's not bad. It's just not where I think of going when I go out to eat. Some people like some things, others like other things, ya know?

I really like Mrs. Wilkes, though.

There are just better places to eat. Wild Wings and Vinnies in City Market. Depends on how much you want to spend and what you are looking for. Avoid Paula Dean's place at all costs.

Why is Paula Deens not worth it?

Ever eat in a cafeteria in a mall or college dorm kitchen? Tastes just the same. My mother could cook better than that place. It is nothing more than overpriced homestyle cooking. The lady is a marketing genius. We laugh at all the tourists who stand in long lines in the heat for hours to get in and eat some fried chicken, green beans, and mash potatos. Save your cash and time. There are plenty of good places to eat in Savannah, Paula Dean's is not one of them.
