I am a 22 year old single male from a small town in VA. I was living in Charlottesville, VA for the past 2 years but my lease has ran up an I ended up back with my parents in my small hometown in western VA. I have been working as a tig welder in a factory and I have welding certifications. I have an interview at a welding shop in Savannah and figured maybe if that doesn't work out then there must be a shipyard where I can find work. Although I'm still not sure if this is my career path or whether I want to get back in school lol. Wanna be self employed one day.
I am very interested in playing music. I play guitar and bass and listen to a wide variety of music and would be interested in finding someone to play with. I feel like Savannah has a lot of young people who would be interested in that having SCAD and all. Is there a good music scene?
Is there good nightlife? Areas I should avoid living in? I feel like I won't have a hard time making friends or meeting girls. Mainly wondering if Savannah is good for a young person who likes playing music, partying, and works as a welder but is still trying to find himself. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

Savannah has a music scene, and I assume a welder can find work anywhere. Go for it.

I have on the top of my list the desire to learn how to weld. I'll do a trade with you: If you decide on Savannah I'll drive you all around for 4 hours looking at neighborhoods. If you decide to stay give me 4 hours of welding instructions.

Deal??

I have a friend here in Savannah who just last year completed his welder apprenticeship and is now gainfully employed and making craploads of money. He recently bought a Mercedes!

^ Used Mercedes, I'm sure.

There is a demand for welders, most start at about $15 to $17 an hour though. Not terrible, but Savannah's not a cheap town to live in anymore.

I know CV well. Why don't you like it?
Norfolk,VA Bch or Norfolk have a better climate with mild weather and change of seasons. Might be a better fit than the deep south, with its unrelenting humidity and heat.
I went To ODU .
Savannah is like Hopewell or Petersburg.

Savannah can do no wrong in this persons mind, of course he is comparing it to the armpit of the south-crimatlanta.
