I think that most of Easter Egg hunts are sponsored by local churches for the children of their congregations after Sunday services. There may be city wide, open-to-the-public hunts, but I am just not familiar with them.

One thing that you might do, is bring a bunch of eggs with you. Then, one of the adults hides them somewhere (like Forsyth Park, or Skidaway Island state park) while the others keep the girls occupied. Then, when the eggs are hiden, the girls are turned loose to hunt.

There is a city-wide one in Port Wentworth, but as you stated, it is before the week of Easter (actually on April 4th). Ellie mentioned the one at Skidaway (Georgia State Parks - Easter Blast - Skidaway Island State Park), which does sound like a lot of fun. Otherwise, I was not able to find anything for the time you'll be here either. I hope you can find what you're looking for!

By the way...huge congrats on her going into remission. I know that is a big step!

The Westin at Savannah Harbor has a wonderful Easter brunch. They have an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids there too. We went last year and they had tons of eggs and not a lot of kids!
