There are jobs here, unless I got the last one advertised. I was considering moving about a year ago, and almost got put off by the insistence that there were no decent jobs available.

They are out there- all you need to do is look. I know - I found one and it wasn't nearly as difficult as I'd been led to believe. I wanted it badly enough.

BTW, being here these past few months - Savannah is fabulous, no complaints. I just love it here.

I work a white collar job in a blue-collar industry. I moved here because of said job two years ago. Through this economy I still have a job. I am making 17% more than I was (in the same job) when I moved here two years ago and 38% more than where I moved from.

It's possible. Just do the research and look for a field that you can work in. If no one could make it, Savannah would be a very sparsely populated place.

Had no problem picking up a job before I even moved here. The economy is not in tatters...

Well do your research first before planning a trip so that you can possibly move to Savanah. I dont live there but I know enough that people do move with out looking at the jobs and other necesities and that can be the biggest mistake of all.

"Well do your research first before planning a trip so that you can possibly move to Savanah."
I did the research with the help of some on this board.
Packed the car, and here I is.
And if I really wanted a job, I could have one in a Nu Yawk minute.
