I am moving to Savannah in a few weeks...my husband has been living there for about 2 months. I sold most of my furniture in Los Angeles and am moving what is left. I am going to need to buy furniture (couches, queen guest bed) as soon as I get there. (my husband currently only has a bed & a tv) We have a really cute apartment & I want it to look nice without spending a lot of money, as I will need to find a job as soon as I get there (a whole 'nuther thread completely)
In LA, we use craigslist for used furniture, jobs, everything! Does everyone use Craigslist in Savannah? Or is there a better site that you locals use.
Thanks!

there are also used furniture stores.

The daily paper, Savannah Morning News, classified section will also have many listings.

Don't forget thrift stores, second-hand stores, yard sales, and junk shops. All good sources of great stuff.

Default Thank you!

Yard sales, garage sales...I love those! What is the best area for yard sales? Around here we go to Beverly Hills & you would not believe what people practically give away!

There are a lot of good neighborhoods for yard sales. They are often listed in the local newspaper. I find the best stuff in the most unlikely places.

I counted three or four different "Moving Sale"s posted on my way out last night.
Sad fact: People are losing their homes, or downsizing, and everything must go.
