Hello, I'm getting ready for a move to the Savannah, GA area. We've been looking at the Wilmington Island area. Can anyone give me some feedback on the area? Lowest crime areas, best area for family of 4 and so on.

Wilmington and all the Islands are good areas, if you need to be close to the marshes or beach. The west side along I-95 is also building up rapidly. Traffic into Rincon or Richmond Hill is building up rapidly.

The Malls are on the southside of town, hospitals on DeRenne in Midtown. If you will work, try to find a convenient commute. Location will depend on what is important to you. There are some nice developments being built just over the High Bridge along the Wildlife Refuge in SC

i live in Savannah GA now but ill be relocating to Wilmington Island in July. i love Wilmington island, its beautiful close to the beach, MUCH safer than Savannah area. BETTER schools of course!!
