hi everyone! We're travelling home to RAleigh from SAnibel Island, FL on the 4th of July. We planned to stop overnight, and not having seen Savannah before, thought we'd stop in Savannah and seek out 1) a hotel to stay in with our 2 kids and 2 dogs and 2) something fun and kid-friendly to do for the 4th.

Any suggestions? If nothing else I'd like to know what the most kid-friendly event might be for fireworks. IS there something that's perhaps not a total madhouse but still fun?

Thanks!

The East Bay Inn is a good hotel to try if you're staying in Savannah. They're kid & pet friendly. VERY close proximity to River Street and all of the historic district. (within a block from the river)
