My husband and I have decided to finally make the move from Ohio to Savannah (Wilmington Is) with our three daughters. He owns his own business...a mobile auto paint refinishing co. that does fairly well here in Ohio except for the five months of cold, rain, snow, and ice!! He primarily deals with auto dealerships and their used car depts. to refurbish scratches, scuffed bumpers, hood chips, etc. on trade-ins and cars bought at auction. He also does some custom paint jobs on motorcycles and such....

My question is..... Does anyone have any insight or opinion as to whether this business would thrive in the Savannah area? We know there are several car dealers in the area....including high-end dealers. Anyone know anyone in the used car business that might know if they use mobile paint vendors?

Thanks for any info..... Our livelihood depends on it!

Hopefully you will be relying on more than what a few posters on a public forum have to say...

Maybe you should be calling potential clients before you move?

Yes, you're right and yes, we have a plan in place to where we're contacting potential customers and planning a trip in person specifically for this purpose. I just thought "it doesn't hurt to ask" and maybe meet someone in the auto business to get a foot in the door. Thanks for your concern and advice.
