Hey all,
My family and i are driving down to Florida and will be stopping in Savannah for the night. I'm looking for recommendations for a hotel that would be good for a one night stop...clean, safe area, pool, perhaps a restaurant on site.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance!!!!

You might want to consider looking at reviews/suggestions at www.tripadvisor.com. I can give you a couple of suggestions, but TA is dedicated to questions like this!

I'll assume you want to stay close to I-95? If that is the case there are 2 exits I can recommend. First is exit #104 - which is Pooler, near the SAV airport. Heading south on I-95, you'll want to go left (east). There are about 10 different hotels, ranging from Hilton properties to Cambria, to Hawthorne, etc. I know a couple there have pools, but for food, you'll want to travel to the west side of I-95 where there is fast food choices such as Zaxby's, Sonic, Chick-fil-A, etc or sit down places such as Cheddar's, Ruby Tuesday, Fatz Cafe, etc. You can travel to exit #102 where a Cracker Barrel is and more fast food options.

The next exit a little further south I'd recommend is exit #94 - which is a southside Savannah exit. There you'll find a Holiday Inn (Express I think), LaQuinta and about 4-5 other hotel options. Food options close by are Ruby Tuesday, Applebees, Shell House (good local seafood) Mc Donald's, Sonic and a few other places. Each stop is literally right off the interstate. Each stop also has plenty of gas stations. Again, I'd venture over to TA and get some more detailed info. If you're wanting to go INTO Savannah itself, then that is another ballgame. Hope this helps! I use and contribute to TA a lot, so feel free to message me if you'd like more tips. Safe travels!
