Moviegoers and comic book fans alike will recall that the villain, AKA Dr. Curt Connors, was a surgeon who, after losing an arm, experimented with cell generation and reptilian DNA and was eventually able to grow back his missing limb. The latest issue of the journal Physiology contains a review article that looks at possible routes that unlock cellular regeneration in general, and the principles by which hair and feathers regenerate themselves in particular. The authors apply what is currently known about regenerative biology to the emerging field of regenerative medicine, which is being transformed from fantasy to reality.

I have seen kids, my sister in particular, have the tip of her finger cut off in the screen door. I just wonder why her young finger would grow back when an adult's finger would not.

People regrow ribs and also if your liver is reduced to 1/5th of its original size will completely regenerate in just a few days.

It would be nice if my niece could do that. She had a transplant, but she is a lot better, now. In effect, she has two livers.

It just so happens that a pharmacist told me they did have a pill for baldness, but it also happens that it cost sixty dollars a month.
