Due to recent crime, neighbors on my street are wanting to capture the license plates of cars driving by. I want to point one WIFI camera at oncoming traffic coming up and going down my dead-end street. I would stick the camera outdoors on a post in some bushes. I don't want a flood light or spotlight, or at least I want the ability to disable it. I don't have a fancy cell phone like most folks do these days -- just a flip phone. So I would want to access footage via a website. Hardwired power would be preferable, but such a power line would have to run a fair distance.
I am happy with my ring system.
I hate having extra payments but I’m good with a few bucks to save things to the cloud so the thieves can’t steal the memory data.
I also use game cams that alert my cell phone.
There are a bunch to choose from on Amazon.
The game cams don’t have a contract and it’s nice that I can move these to areas of concern easily.
I live in the country and I have two game cameras to see what is going on. One is pointed at my driveway and the other one is pointed at a new home being built.
For me, I'm into the Solar ones or that screw into an outdoor elec light socket-, easy peasy under $50--but have not bothered to buy them yet...
when my big dog passes ...I sure will!
Yes, Amazon has so many! And the return policy is simple now.
elnina, great link...I didn't realize there was a Shopping /consumer section here.
