There are lots of OSes that work. Some even work well. :-) But not all OSes are for everyone.

I use a mix of OS/2, Linux, and Windows 95B/2K/XP at home, and I use Windows XP, Solaris, and OS2200 at work. Each tends to do certain tasks fairly well.

The next big thing? How about pointing devices that scan your eye movements and click on screen objects when you blink in a certain way?

Your wish has been granted - the Chinese (I believe it was the Chinese or a team at MIT) came out with this - it was in the news about 1 or 2 months ago. Your eye becomes a pointing device when you stare at an object long enough it will execute the command to open, close, -- it is sooooo cooool. It is still early days.

Cars that won't let you do stupid things. Keeps you from driving too close or too fast for road conditions, warns you when there is someone in your blind spot, etc. I know some of this is out or coming out soon, but I expect it on every car no matter the price.

Oh, and an off switch for some of them just in case you need to tailgate or have an emergency so need to drive fast in pooor conditions.

Are you too old to drive this car?

My answer to the above question>>>Yep, I am!!!!

ARE YOU TOO OLD TO DRIVE THIS CAR?

Concept car that we are probably too old to drive!

NO JOKE!

The new Benz - Very different....really different!
SCROLL DOWN...

This
is the new Mercedes Benz SCL600

That's
not what
is different about it.

....and now for the
'really different'
part:

Here is
what is different....

No steering wheel, you drive it with a joystick.
No pedals either.

Can you drive with a joystick? Your kids and grandkids
or Grandkids probably can.

The influence of video games in our lives has really arrived,
wouldn't you say?

SCARY
THOUGHT THAT NOW A 7-YEAR-OLD COULD STEAL YOUR CAR

AND PROBABLY DRIVE IT
BETTER THAN YOU.

That's a great idea!

The fuel filler could be designed right into the seats and you could travel forever with occasional stops for beer and burritos.
