A new plastic surface which overcomes the difficulties associated with growing adult stem cells has been developed, according to scientists.


Standard surfaces have proved limited for growing large amounts and retaining the stem cells' useful characteristics.

As futurist scientist Ray Kurzweil stated ''live long enough to live forever'' implying that those who are alive in the future (30 to 50 years) may have medicines and technologies (stem cells, gene therapies, proteomics etc.) to live past the 120 year old human barrier .
