Those were just the examples I found. The point is we are moving to the next paradigm of 3D chips now.

Biometric Tattoos For Medicine And The Military are here.

Quote:
a software design and development firm based in Austin, Texas, is developing a high-tech tattoo made of components and conductive paint to create circuitry to basically turn you into a cyborg…er collect health and other biometric data from your body.
Quote:
The tattoo is temporary and washes off much like a temporary fashion tattoo.
Quote:
He also mentioned using the tattoos for location-tracking during concerts or for keeping track of your kid at an amusement park.
Quote:
Some of the attraction for military use could include the tech tatts potentially detecting poisons in the air, pathogens in a soldier’s body, or identifying when they are hurt or stressed.
Quote:
“It’s an eco-friendly, non-invasive use of a platform that basically turns you into a human circuit board.”

Samsung plans a smartphone holographic

Quote:
Like other multinationals also Samsung has an R & D particularly active in the area of the display. In addition to devices with folding panels, the Korean producer seems determined to make smartphone holographic. A patent filed in the US in late 2014 illustrates the process of the technology. However, there is no certainty that an alike product arrives on the market.

Quote:
Samsung was the first company to use a Super AMO LED display and the first producer to use a dual screen edge. By 2016 is expected to announce a device with foldable display (Valley Project). However, another pioneering technology could come to market in the coming years. The patent filed with the USPTO describes a smartphone capable of displaying holograms and holographic icons. The holographic image is generated from optical components and light guides built into the AMOLED panel.
Quote:
In practice, the device can project holographic content outside of the screen, offering the user a 3D experience “near-real”.

So by next year 2016 we will be able to buy these computers? So HP, Dell and Apple so on should be rolling out new computers in 2016 that have this?

Any PC gamers going to jump on it?

Honestly since I'm not a gamer I do not much attention to the industry. Once we get virtual reality that might change.

"Post scarcity" implies that the new robotic industry is socialized everywhere - which is debatable - and that the distribution is equal - which never happened in any kind of society (including communist / socialist).

Also "scarcity" is an ever changing definition. People don't die from famine in 1st world countries anymore.

Or equally likely, way worse.

And another thing to consider is the ability to merge human and artificial life form, resulting in god-like immortality. That ability will most likely not be available to everyone. You would have to be either very rich or very valuable. Also, giving immortality to billions upon billions of people would create a socio-developmental disaster, so some form of culling would have to be done even if there's no "natural" economics based culling. So there's a good chance the humanity will be split into "gods" and "mortals". Not saying this is how it will be, but this is an equally likely scenario.

What artificial life? We have not made any artificial life form and have no idea how to make any artificial life form.
