According to Dr. Ibrahim, the significance of the findings is that despite the similarities between Arabic and Hebrew, when reading the former the right brain can’t function independently and the cognitive burden becomes especially heavy, making it more difficult to read the language, even for those whose mother tongue is Arabic.

“This proves that the Arabic language doesn’t behave like other languages when it comes to anything connected with decoding its graphic symbols,” said Dr. Ibrahim.

Fascinating, thanks.

I saw no mention of native language speakers being tested using non-native languages, which in my opinion negates the findings.

What if it's not the language, but they way the reader is taught, and it turns out they read with the same difficulty in any language.

For a bunch of people who are professors they don't seem too bright.

Read between the lines, GRANT MONEY. The point where scientists start becoming vague for profit [dancin' for the dolla']. This has become one of the greatest challemges to science and progress [greed]. More and more these "scientists" working for pay, are putting the future at risk just to please special interests, the wealthiest, the ones that happen to be in charge, the top 1%. With a total dis-regard to consequences [can give thousands of examples from Copernicus to the Canola plant]. The selfish, ignorant nature within man that will be all our demise. Yes, they are very stupid to what really matters, but they laugh all the way to the bank!
