Yeah, same here. We keep debating whether it's worth it for us. Mid sixties with no children, but two insatiable curiosities. Dang!
A large part of it is that my father was adopted. We're pretty sure my grandfather actually was his father, but the maid was his mother. We know nothing about her. Mrs. Tek's grandmother seems to have blossomed out of thin air as there is no record of her anywhere we can find - the rest of her siblings are listed in numerous places, but not her. We think that getting the testing done might help fill some gaps, but..... no children so who else would benefit from the knowledge? I'm the baby of the family, and she has one younger sister that will die before her due to health problems and life style.
Tough decision at that price.
