I'm planning on getting a brain transplant into a cloned superhuman body at age 120, so maybe I'll see a couple of "times". I'll check back in 2112 to tell ya which is better.
I voted for the past, but only if I could take the knowledge I now possess with me. I would prefer sometime around the year 450 BC.
At times i've pondered just how cool would it have been to have studied under those pre-socratic and later platonic esoteric greeks during the 400's/300's b.c.
Once we have virtual reality then we can experience all the times from BC to know and even the "future" or what we think it might be like anyway. How cool would it be to spend a weekend in Rome back when it was the most powerful city in the known world or Greece then visit the renaissance in Europe to end it with a weekend on the USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D.

Yeap that would be cool to participate in one of the ancient battles e.g. Ceasar conquering western europe or fighting against the powerful Huns (Battle of Catalaunian Plains) . I just wonder what happens if you get ''killed'' in one of those virtual reality battles .
I voted for the present, but I think the U.S. has become a political, cultural and social wasteland since the early 80s. However, there are ways and places to avoid the worst of it.
I was a child of the greatest generation, growing up in the greatest social and industrial expansion known. I had a transitor radio and listened to Wolfman Jack braodcast from Del Rio. I remember Sputnik, while in grade school; man on the moon; SpaceX. The country has transitioned from rural to sub/urban.
I don't think I'd have preferred living in any previous period of time but I also think I'd like to live in a pro-active space exploration era. I'm ready to give up this 20th century experience and I'm willing to take a chance on my energies returning as a space cadet.
