It's called Epigenetics as almost all of our genes perfectly match however in response to the hosts enviroment (UVA/UVB Sun's Rays, Diet, Temperature's etc.) over centuries they will adapt by either turning ''on/off'' or ''higher/lower'' as examples. So in other words humans in high altitudes who have the exact same genes as humans in lower altitudes will respond better to higher altitudes due to their ADAM-17 genes epigenetic response over time.
