I have a whole mailbox full of USGS emails announcing 4 and 5 mag earthquakes in southern California.

Hummm... it appears my topic has been moved to the 'lower 40' science forum.

Maybe a 6 mag or higher will wake someone up.

Alaska is always active. We average over 300 quakes per month with at least one being 5.0 or larger. Anything below 5.0 is rather fun, I think. It is when they reach 5.0 or larger that they become a concern.

There was a 4 mag towards the Nevada border... but it's been deleted.
